Fr. Tom reminded Amy and I of a quote from Mother Teresa; "Joy comes to those who in a sense forget themselves and become totally aware of the other."

an idea

Over a month ago, Amy had the idea to record a live set of music for our beloved Fr. Tom... an e-mail was sent last week to people to see who was available on Tuesday, Dec 16th. Many responded and we had 12 musicians show up at my studio to record the songs.

People started arriving around 7pm and started to warm up. I hit the record button on my iMac at 8pm. We planned to end by 9 but the spirit moved us to continue recording and we didn't stop until 10pm.

What started as a gift idea became more and turned into something special to everyone involved

everyone was patient and encouraging...





After everyone left, I stayed up and did some rough editing on the songs so I could send one when people woke up the next morning... I ended up sending three songs instead!


So fast forward to today, Friday, and I finished editing all 12 tracks... Our friend Nino designed an awesome CD cover and now we are set to give the gift to Fr. Tom on Sunday!
